the Delivery Room, 1895 After meeting with McKim in New York in early May, Sargent and Abbey traveled with him to Boston and spoke with the Library trustees. A verbal agreement followed: Abbey would decorate the Delivery Room on the second floor, and Sargent would paint murals for the third-floor hall situated at the top of the main stair, leading to the Special Collections Hall.
