Dogma of the Redemption Sargent traveled to Boston to oversee the installation of the Dogma of the Redemption on the south wall in January 1903. The critics, who perceived the work as a balance to the north wall installation, applauded it as evocative of Byzantine artistic style while also infused with “the creative touch of the artist’s modernity...a sort of impalpable aroma of form, color, and sweet purity of spirit.”
