one-third-scale models, exhibitedIn 1926, one year after Sargent’s death, the Royal Academy in London exhibited parts of the one-third-scale model in a memorial exhibition of Sargent’s work. In 1927 the model was shipped to Boston and the section representing the south end was included in an exhibition of studies by Sargent at the Museum of Fine Arts. In 1999 the Dogma of the Redemption one-third-scale model at the Fogg Art Museum was conserved and exhibited with other preparatory oil sketches and drawings.
